Approach
Beverage giant Coca-Cola has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Israel-based company SodaStream over their marketing campaign known as The Cage. The exhibit features waste cans and bottles that SodaStream employees have collected from dump sites and placed in a giant cage. It aims to show how many bottles and cans a family uses over the course of either three or five years and encourages people to make their own soda.
THE PLASTIC BOTTLE CAMPAIGN
Motives
Plastic bottle pollution to the environment is huge, urging people to drink mineral water, go to bring their own water, carry water bottles.

Approach
one year, plastic bottles generated more than 2.5 million tons of carbon dioxide. Drink tap.
Bottled water costs 7,000 times more than the same water that comes from a faucet. Drink tap.
Every year, 38 billion water bottles end up buried in the earth. Drink tap.
THE PLASTIC BOTTLE CAMPAIGN
Motives
This is a problem because fish farms aren’t natural, and they lead to a lot of environmental issues, disease and pollution. Another big issue surrounding our world ocean is the amount of mercury in our fish, especially the tasty, larger fish American diners enjoy so much. Mercury is a dangerous metal that doesn’t belong in our food, but, unfortunately it’s there and we have no one to blame but ourselves. Human error has led to increasing pollution, and as a result, increasing mercury levels that travel through the marine food chain until they reach the larger fish consumers like to eat. Then, the mercury’s in us and can lead to serious health problems of our own.

Approach
The ad featured above was included in the OndAzul Foundation’s campaign to raise awareness about World Environment Day in 2012. The ad includes a sardine can stuffed with a plastic bottle in place of the fish viewers would expect to see. The ad was one of a dozen or so similar designs that aimed to depict the environmental impact associated with our human actions.

Module Name: GRAPHIC DESIGN 2 (PART 2)
Module Code:DV2750
Lecturer:SIR. KAMARUL SHAH
Name of your Task:CAMPAIGN ABOUT ONE OF THE HUMAN ISSUES
1.What do we want to do?
Recycle
Cycle is waste into reusable material process, it is repeated using different, which refers only to the use of certain products again.
According to the Environmental Protection Department, the U.S. 13% of solid waste (ie garbage collection system by processing waste) to loop handle. In contrast, 14% of solid waste is incinerated, 73% of landfill disposal.
Cycle provides a landfill can save natural resources method will reduce, so it attractive. In the late 1980s, with the awareness of environmental protection, the public began to think that the cycle is the key to protecting the environment. EPA plans to 1992 years ago, the amount of solid waste will be handled circulation increased from 13% to 25%. Polystyrene and other plastic products not traditionally been a large-scale recycling, so in order to comply with EPA requirements and to improve public image, many manufacturers hype their paper recycling.
2. Who are we talking to? And what insights do we have about them?
Economic characteristics of each material determines its degree of recycling. For example, about 55% of aluminum cans are recycled . The proportion of high contrast , reflecting the recovery of aluminum production is generally cheaper than new aluminum . Energy recovery is less than required for the production of aluminum 10% of the energy required for aluminum from bauxite . With the recovery of aluminum cans into circulation beverage market increased. 1964 only 2% of aluminum beverage cans in 1974, is already 40% , to 1990 has been about 95 %. Public concerns about the garbage plan and promote the existing requirements of the beverage container deposit laws , so Reynolds Metals Company in 1968 established the first aluminum can recycling center. But seventies soaring energy prices and concerns about energy supply cut really make recycling attractive .
Paper and cardboard - the most important component of solid waste - is also widely recycled. Because cardboard materials can be used in a variety of paper , different kinds of low-cost separating paper , corrugated boxes are widely used ( such as grocery stores ) , the collection can be very efficient , so in 1988 , 45% of corrugated boxes are recycling.
In contrast , the high cost limits the collection and separation of recyclable plastic . People do not want to clean and sort of used plastic products. In fact , one study showed that plastic revolving fund , voluntary delivery and buyback center can not collect enough plastic products making cycle across the country in the economic self-sufficiency . In addition, different reprocessing plastic resin can not be mixed . ( To solve this problem , the plastic packaging industry with different markers represent different resins , making the cost can be reduced in the future . ) Despite these limitations , now has 20 percent of plastic soft drink bottles were recycled.
The irony is that recycling does not eliminate the concern for the environment . In a newspaper for example. Must first be cleared with chemicals mixed together to form a sludge, even if these are harmless sludge must be disposed of, perhaps the landfill ; Secondly , recycling more newspapers will not protect trees because some trees are specially for paper and nurtured . A (A study prepared for the environmental think tank Resources for the Future) Research estimates if the paper recycling rate reached 40% ( now 30% ) , the demand for virgin paper will be reduced by 7% , economists A . Clark Wiseman said, " some of the original trees of the land will be used for other purposes ." While this impact is not very significant , but contrary to most people 's expectations. Finally, curbside recycling programs need more trucks , consume more energy and create more pollution.
3. How do we want the audience to describe the Campaign?
Green is the biggest problem facing humanity in modern life. To solve this problem we must start from the basics.
First, a lot of publicity, to raise people's awareness and understanding of environmental awareness.
Secondly, the need for waste recycling, reduce the felling of trees for the forest. Should strengthen the white pollution treatment, less use of plastic products.
Finally, to clean areas for improvement. Makes a cleaner city.
For the Earth tomorrow, we must start work now, to take to protect the environment here we make the following recommendations:
Implementation of garbage bags so that not only can reduce the workload of the sanitation workers, but also to better serve the utilization of waste, reduce pollution and conserve resources.
When shopping, use less plastic bags, try to use a bamboo basket.
Try to use a pen interchangeable cores, reducing the amount of waste and garbage ballpoint pen housing.
Try not to go out to dinner disposable lunch boxes.
Green is sowing sowing hope recovery and resource utilization of excess garbage garbage garbage recycling and environmental issues and resource utilization
4.What is the single most important thing our prospects believe or feel about our brand or the category?
A major limiting factor is the recycling of garbage destroy local prices rarely reflect their true costs. Most garbage collection systems are controlled or owned by the government , the cost of garbage collection is shared equally , and sometimes become part of the local taxes . Garbage collectors collect separately without people discard trash in the street , people do not because of how much garbage and discarded by the corresponding reward . Therefore, it did not reduce the incentive to produce garbage . In contrast, the privately owned waste collection system is not restricted local price controls , they will waste accurate pricing , in order to maintain profitability . This precise pricing - that is, charge higher prices and more people refuse to produce - will encourage people to less waste production .
Unfortunately, the economic cycle and did not take the form of private ownership , also did not escape government control . On the contrary , more and more local governments approved the roadside garbage . Few cities , such as Seattle , the number of experimental methods in accordance with the trash fee , which makes 70% of residents reduced their trash. This " fee by the barrel ," provides a way to reduce garbage by recycling or other means to motivate . And this approach means that those who do not will pay the burden of reducing garbage collection system caused them to refuse the full price of recycling is not a panacea for environmental problems , it is just one of several ways to deal with garbage . Profitable when it has been widely used ; unprofitable , the government despite the imposition of economic laws , not people such as voluntary roadside recovery . To encourage waste accurate pricing is revolving Road .
5.How can we make this believable?
Fundamentally speaking, ecological destruction and environmental pollution are the same manner and degree of utilization of resources related to the use of human society. We know that environmental pollution is caused by human activity and environmental degradation have adverse effects on humans and other organisms to survive and develop normal phenomenon. Environmental pollution arising from quantitative to qualitative change is a process, environmental pollution and waste of resources is essentially irrational use to make useful resources become waste into the environment and cause harm. Fundamental policy to protect the environment is to save resources, environmental pollution and the end of treatment required to change the idea of starting from the source of pollution, conserve resources and protect the environment adhere to the basic state policy, vigorously promote energy conservation and recycling of resources, efforts to promote green development, cycle of development, low-carbon development.
Resource-saving products and processed products, saving resources development, renewable resources, waste material resources, scarce resources and resource industries alternative intensive management. Economical and intensive use of resources to vigorously promote a fundamental change in use of resources and strengthen the whole process of conservation management, dramatically reducing energy, water, land consumption intensity, vigorously develop the circular economy, promote the production, circulation and consumption process of reduction, reuse, resource.
6. What do we have to have an idea about?
Mineral water consumption is growing at the same time , the industry may cause pollution can not be ignored . If a large number of filling bottles through specialized agencies
Unified recycling , which saves resources and protecting the environment, in line with the principles of sustainable development.
German mineral water industry has long been in use mineral water bottle recycling system . The system is the responsibility of the German mineral water business cooperation organizations, with two billion bottles and 175 million baskets , boxes, recycling is one of the largest systems in the world . Recyclable water bottles can be reused 30-50 times.
German mineral water industry structure more dispersed , and mineral water production are mostly small and medium scale enterprises . Germany currently has more than 230 mineral water producers , sales nationwide product manufacturers rarely exported abroad is very few . Therefore, for environmental protection and resource conservation considerations, these companies use the German mineral water recycling systems business partner agencies , has made tremendous economic benefits, and be welcomed by consumers .
China 's mineral industry and Germany have a similar situation. MLR latest statistics show that since the 1990s , Chinese manufacturers produce mineral water soared to more than 1,000 , the annual output of more than 3 million tons , about 10 times in the 1980s . However, due to the lack of overall planning , most manufacturers funds is weak, outdated facilities, annual tons more rarely .
China currently no bottles of mineral water recycling systems . Most disposable plastic bottles of mineral water bottling , although the cost is not high , but because of the plastic waste is difficult to break down , causing environmental pollution.
The concept of recycling water bottles mineral water industry in China has a very important reference value . In today's scarce resources , deteriorating environmental conditions , should be vigorously promoted recycling and reuse , both to reduce costs, but also to conserve resources , protect the environment , too.
7. Are there any mandatory's?
This is not a mandatory exercise, I just want people to know the benefits of recycling, and I want everyone to start from their own, to conserve resources, protect the environment, but to do so is the biggest beneficiary of our human.
This activity does not require a lot of moneycan the Internet to do publicity.
